When the shot blasting machine is working, the projectile enters the center of the projectile head through the feeding port. In the center of the projectile head, there is a shot dividing wheel which rotates with the projectile head. Outside the dividing wheel is a directional sleeve, which sends the projectile to the end of the blade near the center of the projectile head through the opening on the directional sleeve. Due to the centrifugal force, the projectile particles accelerate along the length direction of the blade until they reach the top of the blade and hit the workpiece surface at a very high speed.
The function of the distributor is to feed the projectile to the blade according to certain requirements. Once the opening of the splitter wheel is seriously worn, the projectile will hit the end of the blade, resulting in abnormal wear of the blade, and the divergent flow of the projectile will become irregular. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check the wear condition of the shot wheel according to the requirements of the operation manual, and replace the seriously worn shot wheel in time.
The opening position of the directional sleeve determines the position where the projectile is fed to the blade by the dividing wheel. The shape of the opening on the directional sleeve will affect the divergence shape and the size of the hot zone of the projectile. The so-called hot zone is the area where the projectile is relatively concentrated on the divergent surface of the projectile, which is caused by the uneven distribution of the projectile on the blade. The positioning of the adjustable directional sleeve can be adjusted according to the wear of the opening to ensure that the projectile head works in a good running state.
The directional sleeve of shot blasting machine is easy to wear. When its rectangular window is about 5mm worn, it must turn back 5mm from the scale index line (according to the rotation direction of the impeller). If it is further worn for about 5mm, it should be turned back 5mm and continue to be used. When the window is worn more than 15mm, it should be replaced. Otherwise, the radial scattering angle of the projectile will increase, accelerate the wear of the guard plate and reduce the cleaning effect.
